Sunshine Club

One of MCPOM’s Many Member Benefits

In order to help new and expecting parents cope with the challenges of caring for multiples, we are creating a group called the Sunshine Club. MCPOM members who volunteer their time are here to help families with anything from dropping off a meal to running an errand.

Many of us do not have family in the area. If you’re pregnant and on bedrest, errands can be impossible to accomplish. If you’re home with newborns, it is hard to nap at the same time as your babies when you have to work through your to-do list. If you breastfeed, you are also supposed to eat healthy and large quantities and this is not always feasible. A meal dropped off can be a lifesaver.

How it works.
The Sunshine Club will be divided into geographical areas. When we are aware of a family with a need, member volunteers from the same area will be contacted and asked to give a hand. If you need some help, don’t hesitate to contact us. Please—don’t be shy to ask, you will have more time to spend enjoying your babies. We have all been there and know what it’s like — caring for multiples is a lot of work.

Please contact us at mcpom@mcpom.org if you would like to utilize the services of the Sunshine Club or if you are a MCPOM member and would like to be placed on our standby volunteer list. The success of this group relies on the willingness of volunteers!
